Sydney Thunder dominate Perth Scorchers with comprehensive 61-run victory
The Thunder recorded a resounding 61-run victory over Scorchers in match number 33 of the BBL 2024-25 at the Sydney Showground Stadium. Batting first, the Thunder posted a competitive 158/7, thanks to a consistent 53 from Konstas himself and an unbeaten 37 off 13 balls from the Man of the Match Tom Andrews. The Scorchers’ bowl game was led by Lance Morriswhich claimed 3/43 but was expensive.
In response, the Scorchers collapsed to 97 in 17.2 overs, unable to counter the Thunder’s disciplined attack. Chris Green (3/13) and Nathan McAndrew (2/21) shined with the ball, dismantling the Scorchers lineup.
