Liverpool right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold is not only part of an exciting title challenge with the Reds, potentially his second with the club, but he is also being closely monitored by European champions Real Madrid. However, the latest reports from England differ from the recent updates coming out of Spain.
According to The Athletic, Alexander-Arnold has yet to make a final decision about his future. Liverpool is still pushing to secure a new contract with the 25-year-old England international, while Real Madrid has expressed a strong interest in signing him. At this stage, there is no clear resolution, and Alexander-Arnold is still in negotiations with Liverpool.
Earlier reports suggested that Alexander-Arnold had decided against renewing his contract at Anfield, leading many to believe that a move to Real Madrid was imminent. With his current deal expiring next summer, Alexander-Arnold is eligible to sign a pre-contract agreement with Los Blancos in less than a month. Real Madrid views him as their top target for the right-back position, particularly as they seek to strengthen following Dani Carvajal’s injury. However, recent links have also connected them with Manchester United’s Diogo Dalot.
