For every game it broadcast during the 2024-25 season, FOX Sports leads NFL analyst Tom Brady granted his LFG game player title to the player who stood out the most for him.
Typically, the award went to the player who put up the best stats or had the most surprising play in the game Brady called that week. However, Brady has also shown some love for players in the trenches, including Kansas City guard Joe Thuney and Detroit offensive tackle Penei Sewell. Dallas star linebacker Micah Parsons was the first recipient of the award and the only defensive player named Brady’s LFG Player of the Game.
Additionally, there has only been one repeat winner. While Brady is limited in who he can choose for the award, a handful of teams have had multiple games with him on the call this season. However, several players have delivered electrifying performances against the GOAT in their first season in the booth.
With that said, here are LFG’s top 10 Player of the Game performances so far this season:
The Ravens needed a win over the Steelers in Week 16 to keep their playoff hopes alive. They were able to secure the 34-17 victory with the help of their star quarterback. Jackson completed 15 of 23 passes for 207 yards, three touchdowns and one interception, good for a passer rating of 115.4. He helped Baltimore go toe-to-toe with Pittsburgh, as the Steelers hung in there for much of the first three quarters, before leading the Ravens to two time-consuming scoring drives. In the end, the Ravens ended up winning the division, allowing them to host the Steelers in their first-round playoff victory. It also contributed to Jackson’s strong case for winning his third MVP.
“He [has] It was amazing to see you play this year,” Brady told Jackson. “I thought I’d seen it all with the two MVPs you’ve already won. You’re on the hunt again.”
Allen, another MVP favorite, excelled against Brady, completing 24 of 34 passes for 283 yards and two touchdowns to defeat the Seahawks on a rainy day in Seattle, 31-10. Allen’s performance helped the Bills take a 31-3 lead early in the fourth quarter against a Seahawks team that won 10 games in 2024.
In his conversation with Allen, Brady noted how Bills offensive coordinator Joe Brady (no relation) had put the star quarterback in good positions while keeping him protected this season.
“I think Joe is giving me a lot of answers on offense,” Allen told Brady. “I think the system he [has] been putting for us, [has] been very impressive for us. The boys are opening up. We have the term “Everyone eats.” It just feels like the guys are opening up. We are giving them the ball [and] take care of football, and I think that mentality that Joe has in me: he trusts me implicitly and I trust him too.
“So whatever he calls, I’m just trying to go out there and execute it the best we can.”

Mayfield absolutely torched the league’s best defense this season in the Bucs’ Week 4 matchup, turning in a Brady-like performance. Brady’s successor in Tampa completed 30 of 47 passes for 347 yards, two touchdowns and zero interceptions with a 100.2 passer rating and a rushing touchdown in a 33-16 victory over Philadelphia.
The three touchdowns Mayfield had in that game were just a small part of his 44 total scores for the season, but Brady was impressed with another element of Mayfield’s game. “Great leadership from you today,” Brady said. “I love seeing you out there… Keep pushing the guys. I know what they’re capable of. Keep working hard and getting it done.”
Mayfield’s Week 4 LFG Player of the Game win was his first of the season. Brady awarded him the honor again in Week 18 when the Buccaneers earned their divisional victory over the New Orleans Saints, making Mayfield the only two-time winner of the award during the regular season.

7. Philadelphia Eagles QB Jalen hurts against Pittsburgh Steelers (week 15)
After throwing for less than 120 yards in two consecutive weeks and less than 200 yards in three consecutive games, Hurts showed off his passing ability against a Steelers defense that was viewed as one of the best in the league at the time. The Eagles star completed 25 of 32 passes for 290 yards and two touchdowns, along with 45 rushing yards, a rushing touchdown and a 125.3 passer rating in the 27-13 victory.
Hurts made sure to connect with his star receivers that day, with AJ Brown and DeVonta Smith each recording at least 100 receiving yards, while Saquon Barkley was slowed. Arguably the most impressive thing Hurts did was lead the Eagles on a drive that lasted more than ten minutes to seal the victory.
“What I loved was seeing you [get] the ball, finding AJ and the ball out of your hands,” Brady told Hurts. “That was the most rhythmic thing I’ve seen in a long time. … To me, you’re unstoppable when you play like that.”

Jacobs had an exciting first season in Green Bay, and his best performance in Year 1 as a Packer came when Brady was on guard. Jacobs received the ball frequently in the Packers’ key 38-10 victory over the 49ers, rushing for 106 yards and three touchdowns. All three touchdowns came from the 1-yard line, which was key for a team that entered that week ranked 27th in red zone efficiency.
“We put a lot of emphasis on it,” Jacobs told Brady about scoring in the red zone. “Coming into this week, we know that’s what we struggle with the most. So, you know, every time we’re out there, I just tell them, ‘Man, give me the ball and we’ll figure it out.'”
“Give me the ball, I like that game plan,” Brady said with a smile.

5. Quarterback of the San Francisco 49ers Brock Purdy against Tampa Bay Buccaneers (week 10)
The 49ers needed a big day from their quarterback in Week 10 against the Buccaneers. They succeeded, with Purdy completing 25 of 36 passes for 353 yards and two touchdowns, good for a passer rating of 119.3.
Purdy’s performance came under less than ideal circumstances, as the running game struggled to get going in Christian McCaffrey’s season debut and kicker Jake Moody missed three kicks. After the Buccaneers tied the game late, Purdy completed four passes for 39 yards in the final 41 seconds to set up Moody for the winning field goal and give the 49ers a 23-20 victory.
“It was a very quiet 330-plus yard performance,” Brady said. “You played so well. One of the plays I loved was you felt the runner open on the throw to Christian, where you dropped a dime over the top.”

Darnold’s first season in Minnesota didn’t end on the highest of notes, but he sealed his Pro Bowl case (and potentially Comeback Player of the Year case) in the Vikings’ 27-25 victory over the Packers. He completed 33 of 43 passes for 377 yards, three touchdowns and one interception, along with a 116.1 passer rating, as Minnesota was in control for much of the game.
After the win, Darnold’s Vikings teammates memorably harassed him in the locker room, dunking him with a water bottle while lifting him into the air as a smiling Kevin O’Connell looked on.
“You’ve provided great leadership, Sam,” Brady told Darnold. “It was a pleasure covering you today. I love seeing everything you did there.”
Darnold also had a question for Brady to end the interview.
“What does LFG mean, Tom?” —Darnold asked.
“Come on, come on,” Brady responded.
“I love it,” Darnold said after noticing how heavy the prize was.

3. Baltimore Ravens RB Henry Derrick against the Dallas Cowboys (week 3)
Henry had a memorable first regular season with the Ravens, rushing for nearly 2,000 yards on the year, but his first big game didn’t come until Week 3, when the then-winless Ravens faced the winless Cowboys. they hired the Dallas resident. during the low season.
Henry rushed for 151 yards on 25 carries (6.04 yards per carry), dominating the Cowboys’ run defense while finding the end zone twice. He also added a 23-yard reception en route to the victory. He ran alongside the Dallas defense for his second touchdown, ripping off a 26-yard score that put Baltimore up, 28-6, at the time before holding on for a 28-25 victory.
“Man, I almost lost my voice watching you carry that thing onto the field,” Brady told Henry. “You were amazing… When I’m looking at you [and Jackson] Back there, I don’t know who you’re stopping. when are you [carrying] That thing, it’s almost impossible to stop.”

Allen scored six total touchdowns against the Rams in Week 14, but it wasn’t enough, in part, because of Nacua’s outstanding performance. The star receiver made several highlight plays in the win, catching 12 passes on 14 targets for 162 yards and a touchdown. He also had five rushing attempts, gaining 16 yards on a score.
There were a couple of plays Nacua made that stood out in the Rams’ 44-42 win. First, he did an over-the-shoulder toe hold on the bench. “He literally has his hands behind his head,” Brady said exasperatedly.
Nacua later took a screen pass on a 19-yard play on third-and-5 for a touchdown that sealed the Rams’ victory.
When Brady spoke to Nacua after the game, he wanted to find out why he was nicknamed Puka. “My grandmother gave me that name,” Nacua said. “It means fat, chubby, so I think on some of those running plays, the coach says, ‘I trust you with the ball.'”
“Ah, you’ve got some Pukas out front,” Brady responded. “You’re not Puka anymore.”

1. RB New Orleans Saints Alvin Camara against the Dallas Cowboys (week 2)
Kamara had one of the best single-game performances of the season in the Saints’ dominant 44-19 win over the Cowboys in Week 2. The dual-threat running back made plays in both facets, rushing for 115 yards at 5.8 yards per carry and three touchdowns to go with two receptions for 65 yards and a touchdown.
Kamara’s receiving touchdown showed off his high-level vision and speed. He took a 57-yard screen pass, noticing an open path before outrunning the Cowboys defense into the end zone.
“Next time I see you play, I want five touchdowns,” Brady jokingly told Kamara. “Four wasn’t enough.”
“Okay,” Kamara responded. “I understood you.”
