The second Barcelona player in a week suffers a dental catastrophe on the field

Barcelona suffered a damaging 1-0 defeat against Leganés on Sunday night, going down without much of a fight against Los Pepineros. For Fermín López, the insult was added to the insult.

The 21-year-old was sent off in the second half to try to salvage something from the game in Montjuic, but not only did he struggle to impact the game, he also felt it himself. During a challenge on the touchline, López came out covering his mouth. In subsequent images, it became apparent that a tooth had been broken.

This is the second incident of this type that has happened to a Barcelona player in a week. During Barcelona’s 3-2 victory over Borussia Dortmund, it was Dani Olmo who lost an entire tooth during the match after a boot hit him in the face. Olmo seemed to have fixed the problem as of Sunday night, and it looks like Lopez might be asking him for a dental recommendation.
