More details of the Erling Haaland contract are revealed as Barcelona included

Manchester City managed to get star striker Erling Haaland to compromise his future with the club with a nine and a half years contract earlier this month. In theory, the agreement will keep the Norwegian there during the best years of his career, until 2034, but the reports from Spain believe that Haaland still retains a high degree of control over his future.

Previous reports have affirmed that Haaland will be allowed to choose when to leave the etihad for one of Real Madrid or Paris Saint-Germain, and the last brand update is that Barcelona is also included in the list of equipment that Haaland can leave . Without a termination clause in the contract per se, it is not yet clear what the mechanism for that permission is, which is referred only as “the small print”.

In addition to the safety of the new agreement, Haaland will also receive a significant salary increase. The 24 -year -old, who is already the best paid player of the Manchester City squad, will earn 40 million euros net per year. To put it in context, the reports in the Spanish capital place the salary of Kylian Mbappé at 15 million euros a year, although not including a strong bonus to sign.

In addition to the salary increase, Haaland will also receive all of his image rights. This was also summoned as a key issue for Mbappé, and also is worth millions every year, as well as the ability to control where and how Haaland appears in the promotional content.

Any transfer to Spain still seems very distant if finally is concretized. While Haaland is still cited as a dream signing for both Barcelona and Real Madrid, it will spend some time before Catalans can afford such an agreement. Similarly, in the case of Real Madrid, one of his star strikers would probably have to leave, and for good money, before considering signing the imposing number nine.
