The move happened in the 40th minute of the first half, when Byanca Brasil received a pass from the right wing and dribbled past defender Chantelle Swaby. When she broke free from the marker, she looked for midfielder Duda Sampaio in the area, but the defense cut her off. At that moment, the Seleção was already winning 1-0. The game ended in a 4-0 rout.

Excited, the Cruzeiro Feminino captain was moved to tears as she sang the Brazilian anthem before the ball rolled at Arena Fonte Nova, in Salvador.

This was Byanca Brasil’s first time on the field wearing the Brazilian team’s shirt. The player was a starter in the first half of the pre-Olympic friendly against Jamaica.

Previously, in 2017, she was called up for a training period with the main team, but did not participate in games.
