Real Madrid took the lead in the first four minutes of the Spanish Super Cup final against Barcelona in Jeddah.
The opening of the contest has lived up to its pre-match billboard, with opportunities at both ends of the King Abdullah Sports City stadium.
Los Blancos goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois was called into action after 90 seconds, deflecting a shot from Lamine Yamal, before the Belgian made an even better save from Raphinha’s header.
However, the pendulum immediately swung in Real Madrid’s favor just seconds later when Kylian Mbappé launched a counterattack to put them in front.
