Las Palmas in conversations to sign the Liverpool midfielder

Liverpool midfielder Stefan Bajcetic has been linked to a return to the league on two different occasions in the last six months, and now believes once again that he is close to returning to Spanish football.

Earlier this month it was reported that Real Betis was in conversations to sign Bajcetic as a loan for the rest of the season, although these negotiations did not reach anywhere. Last summer, Barcelona was also very interested in reaching an agreement for the 2024-25 campaign, but its well-documented financial problems finally made it not possible.

In the end, Bajcetic, product of the Celta de Vigo quarry, ended up in the RB Salzburg, although it has been speculated that Liverpool wants to look for a new assignment for the 20 -year -old pivot. And they could be about to do it, with the league option, come true again.

As Marca reports, Las Palmas is in conversations with Liverpool to reach an agreement for Bajcetic for the remainder of the season. The Grancanario set wants to reinforce for the fight to avoid the descent.

Las Palmas has players like Kirian Rodríguez, Darío Essugo, Javi Muñoz and Enzo Loiodice as options to play in the midfield, but coach Diego Martínez is anxious to add more quality for the second half of the season. Bajcetic, who was an substitute not used during the defeat of Salzburg by 5-1 against Real Madrid during the week, could be exactly what is needed.

Las Palmas has a good relationship with Liverpool, as was demonstrated last summer when both clubs faced Anfield in a friendly preseason. Bajcetic would probably have a good amount of minutes to his credit if he were going to Gran Canaria for the second half of the season, but for now it is yet to determine what is the probability that an agreement occurs.
