LaLiga clubs are considering taking legal action to declare the competition void if Barcelona registers Dani Olmo

Barcelona’s attempts to sign Dani Olmo and Pau Víctor could be a historic moment in the season and could even affect the direction of the club with Joan Laporta’s presidency on the line, according to some. However, their La Liga rivals are willing to take action if things go Laporta’s way.

After a lengthy meeting on Thursday, Barcelona are reported to be optimistic that La Liga will register both Víctor and Olmo on Friday, considering their sale of VIP boxes at the Camp Nou for a sum of €100 million validated. It remains to be seen if La Liga accepts that evidence after the deadline.

As the case has developed in recent weeks, it has been reported on several occasions that other La Liga clubs have been pressuring La Liga president Javier Tebas to examine the matter in detail and ensure that no nothing is overlooked in favor of Barcelona. Some of the clubs named are Sevilla, Athletic Club and Atlético de Madrid.

Now Sport reports that several clubs are threatening to take La Liga to court if they register Olmo and Víctor, alleging unfair treatment. They are willing to present a motion to declare the contest void due to inequality of rules. His view is that in previous cases of a similar nature no leniency has been shown.

This would be a bellicose action if it became a reality, but it is a sign of discontent that has been growing in Spain with Barcelona’s financial management. It has been said that the Blaugrana have been breaking the salary limit rules in recent years, and that LaLiga has not adopted the firm stance it should.
