Kylian Mbappé is determined to close his debut season at Real Madrid with a trophy.
Los Blancos have climbed back to first place in the La Liga standings after a late 2-1 win at Valencia.
Upcoming games include a Copa del Rey trip to Deportiva Minera and a flight to Saudi Arabia for the Spanish Super Cup.
Mbappé has adapted to his role, after an injury-affected start to life in the capital, with 10 goals scored in La Liga, and hopes to get off to a good start.
“The team and I are in a good moment. “We started the year well with a difficult game, which in the end we won and now we are going to different competitions,” he said after being named the club’s player of the month for December 2024.
“We hope to continue winning and playing well. There are many games but the message in this club is that we must win everything.”
Mbappé is expected to rest for the Cup match, before traveling to Jeddah, to face Mallorca in the Copa Sup semi-final on January 9.
Real Madrid also have two UEFA Champions League matches to end January, against RB Salzburg and Stade Brest, with the defending champions currently four points off the automatic qualification spots for the knockout stage.
