“I have been bowling for some time now”: Kuldeep Yadav
Speaking to The Telegraph, the Kanpur-born spinner expressed optimism about his recovery. “My recovery was pretty good and I’ve been bowling for a while now. “I feel good about my progress.” said. Kuldeep last featured for India in October during the first Test against New Zealand. Unfortunately, the groin problem ruled him out for the rest of that series and the entire Border-Gavaskar Trophy.
The injury required surgery, which Kuldeep underwent in Germany. Now, with his recovery progressing smoothly, he is said to be in contention for the Indian team for the ICC Champions Trophy, which will begin next month.

With the Champions Trophy taking place in the United Arab Emirates, where conditions tend to favor spinners, Indian fans are hopeful that Kuldeep’s skills will once again prove decisive.

Kuldeep’s personal trainer, Kapil Pandyhas shed light on the spinner’s rehabilitation process.
“He [Kuldeep] He has started bowling for the last 10 days or so. He will come to Kanpur after January 25 or 26 and we will work more on his line, length, spin and other technical aspects.” Blacksmith told Hindustan Times.
Panday also mentioned that Kuldeep is expected to receive clearance from the National Cricket Academy (NCA) soon. “We have high hopes for his selection for the Champions Trophy.” he added.
Preparatory series for the Champions Trophy 2025
The Indian management will consider Kuldeep for a three-match ODI series against England, which serves as a warm-up for the Champions Trophy. The series will provide a platform to assess their match fitness before the high-stakes tournament.
With Kuldeep’s return to competitive action and his impressive track record, he is set to once again strengthen India’s spin department. Fans and selectors alike will be keenly watching his performances in the run-up to the Champions Trophy, hoping for another impressive display on the global stage.
