The former England batsman described the Tamil Nadu bowler as a “lovely mystery spinner” who returns the ball to right-handers, occasionally holds one and constantly targets the stumps. While he is not a great ball turner, his subtle variations make him difficult to face. Vaughan emphasized Chakravarthy’s coherence and intelligence, urging England to take a different approach to counter him.

Vaughan further expressed his admiration for Chakravarthy’s bowling, highlighting his low-key, old-fashioned celebratory style of simply walking away after taking a wicket. “I love watching him bowl because when he gets a wicket, he doesn’t celebrate. He just walks away in some kind of old-fashioned celebration, ” former England captain aggregate.
