For several months now, despite rumors that no agreement has been reached for the signing of Alphonso Davies, Real Madrid has been a clear favorite. That could be changing.
Los Blancos reportedly agreed terms with Davies in March, but Bayern have not given up hope of retaining the 24-year-old left-back, and there were reports on Thursday that they had made significant progress towards a new deal.
Bayern sporting director Christoph Freund explained to SkySports DE that they are optimistic about a new agreement, as quoted by Florian Plettenberg.

Out of contract next summer, Barcelona and Manchester United have also expressed interest in his situation, and Davies will now be able to sign a new contract in less than a month with whoever he wants. It would be a huge blow for Los Blancos if they couldn’t get the deal done – their plans for next season had been running on the confidence that Davies would walk through the door.
