Nico Williams was heavily linked with leaving Athletic Club before the start of the current season, with Barcelona pushing hard to sign him. In the end nothing materialized, although that may not be the case in 2025.
In recent weeks the list of clubs interested in Williams has increased. He was already on the shortlist of several Premier League clubs, and Paris Saint-Germain have since added his name to the list. They are not the only ones, since Florian Plettenburg reported that Bayern Munich is also aware of the situation.
🚨🆕 Bayern is also monitoring Nico #Williams!
Max Eberl and Christoph Freund intend to reinforce their squad with one or two top-class wingers next summer, depending on the situation of Sané, Gnabry, Coman and Zaragoza.

Bayern have several wingers who could leave the club next summer, including Osasuna loanee Bryan Zaragoza. Getting rid of him and a few others would open up the possibility of Williams moving to the Allianz Arena. Athletic Club would be unable to prevent a deal from being finalized if its release clause, rumored to be worth around €58 million, was activated.
