Juventus have reportedly taken the first step in their January pursuit of Barcelona star Ronald Araujo.
The situation has evolved rapidly in recent days and Barcelona appear to be open to a quick sale to alleviate their financial problems.
The Uruguayan defender, who is rumored to be unhappy with his new role in Catalonia, could leave before the end of the winter transfer market if an agreement is reached between the two clubs.
Early indications are that Barcelona will only accept offers of between 60 and 70 million euros, despite rumors from Diario Sport that this figure could be reduced to 45-50 million euros.
That theory has been put to the test by an initial offer from Juventus, according to Mundo Deportivo, and Barcelona immediately rejected an undisclosed offer from Turin.

Details of the amount are not confirmed, but Barcelona are willing to maintain their initial valuation for the time being, and a reduction is expected to be smaller, with €55 million likely to be their lowest commitment.
