Earlier this week, Barcelona were granted a precautionary measure to register Dani Olmo and Pau Víctor, although they could soon withdraw it. The decision of the Higher Sports Council (CSD) has sparked outrage throughout Spanish football, and La Liga now intends to reverse it.
After receiving confirmation this Wednesday that Barcelona could register Olmo and Víctor for the moment, LaLiga and the Spanish Football Federation were informed that they could appeal the decision, and the former has now chosen to do so, according to Marca.
In fact, La Liga is pressing for the decision to be revoked as soon as possible, having filed a complaint with ordinary justice. Their arguments are that the decision of the Higher Sports Council does not comply with its regulations, nor those of the Federation.
Barcelona will be on tenterhooks at this news, as they will be desperate to prevent Olmo and Víctor from being released for the second time in a matter of weeks. For now, it remains to be seen what the result will be.
