Barcelona are keeping an eye on the Liverpool star and the player is interested in moving

Barcelona were unable to strengthen the left wing position in their first team last summer, and a deal for Nico Williams proved impossible. However, their efforts are expected to be renewed in 2025, provided they have financial headroom to make multiple signings.

Williams was Barcelona’s top target last summer but was closely followed by Luis Diaz, who has shone for Liverpool this season. The Colombian international is very loved by sporting director Deco, who remains attentive to his situation at the Premier League leader, says Sport.

Diaz would reportedly be very interested in moving to Catalonia, despite his good situation at Liverpool. However, his desire for a new contract has raised concerns in recent months, which could present an opening for Barcelona.

Diaz’s current contract ends in 2027, so Liverpool are not under particular pressure to sell this summer. This makes it difficult for Barcelona to make a move, especially if their financial problems do not improve significantly before the end of the season.
