RISHABH PANTS He is known for his unconventional batting style and innovative technique. However, the young batsman’s unique style is not always effective for the team. Something similar happened on day 3 of the fourth test of the current tournament. Border-Gavaskar Trophy.
Rishabh Pant failed to step forward for the Indian team in the hour of need
Pant resumed the Indian innings on day 3 of the fourth Test with Ravindra Jadeja. The duo looked set to go for a solid partnership and added 30 runs to the Indian innings. Just when the Indian innings seemed to be returning, Pant, in his familiar style, opted for a return shot against Scott Boland moving away from the wicket. Pant, who failed to attempt the same shot in the previous delivery, was unsuccessful again in the fourth delivery of Boland’s over. The wicketkeeper batsman played the ball towards deep third man and gave a simple catch to Natalia Lyon. The Indian team looked vulnerable during the time of Pant’s dismissal with only 191 runs on board for the loss of 6 wickets, trailing the Australian total by 283 runs.
The 27-year-old’s dismissal proved disheartening for Jadeja on the other side as well. The all-rounder left soon after Pant’s dismissal and failed to build another partnership with reddy nitish. Jadeja departed after scoring 17 runs off 51 balls. It has been a tough series for Pant with the bat. The dynamic wicketkeeper batsman has only scored 124 races in four Test matches of the series so far with an average of 20.66.

He also criticized the 27-year-old for throwing his wicket at a crucial moment.
This is how the fans reacted:
Rishabh Pant plays in the team for chamchagiri, sympathy share and old heroics.
It is not technically sound and the sooner India gets rid of it, the better it will be.
Expose yourself day after day.
This is the shot he tried to take before his expulsion. #INDvsAUS pic.twitter.com/LYNAsP5e3A

Rishabh Pant started taking risks and fell to Boland, failing to deliver once again. His inconsistency leaves India without vital middle-order support in the BGT… a costly mistake at a crucial time, putting India in serious trouble.

The Champions Trophy team is just around the corner and if a Parchi player like Rishabh Pant is selected over goalkeeper like Sanju Samson and Ishan Kishan, who deserve to be in the team on merit, it will be a full-fledged merit kill! daylight!@imAagarkar @GautamGambhir all eyes on you. pic.twitter.com/clHQyxMrOg

Isn’t Rishabh Pant supposed to be our savior and the X factor in Tests, as his PR claims? Instead of playing responsibly, he bets on reckless shots. Does #RishabhPant Do you really want us to win this BGT? I doubt.#INDvsAUS pic.twitter.com/sfbfrmwzn8

1(4)
21(35)
28(31)
9(12)
28(37)He was receiving Sympthy from the Endians for his casual performance against Bangladesh. He should have scored at least 250-350 runs in this series but he has become a burden for the Indian team.#INDvsAUS pic.twitter.com/wc74DvArwB

Rishabh Trousers at BGT 2024 – 37, 1, 21, 28, 9, 28
He couldn’t score 40 runs even once in 6 innings he played, he is losing catches as a wicketkeeper and he is not scoring runs either. Even today, a wicket is taken with a very irresponsible shot.
Dhruv Jurel is a better goalkeeper and has more temperament like…

Today at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG), when Rishabh Pant came out to bat, there was a special excitement in the air. I had traveled all the way to Australia just to watch this match and Pant’s expectations were very high. The team was in a difficult situation and everyone… pic.twitter.com/vyOlW3mJfl
