Arsenal remains ‘safe’ on Martin Zubimendi’s transfer plan

Arsenal is calm about its ability to ensure a transfer agreement to sign Martin Zubimendi in 2025.

The Gunners finished the winter transfer window without new signings despite the problems of ongoing injuries at Emirates Stadium in early 2025.

Mikel Arteta confirmed his plan to sign a new striker, after minimum injuries for Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Jesús, but no agreement was reached in northern London.

Arteta was firm in his position to need to sign the ‘right player’, and his lack of action indicates a broader plan, with a greater approach placed in the summer market.

As part of its impulse to reinforce the reference line of the gunners, it is rumored that Arteta is ready to make a renewed effort to sign the end of the Nico Williams Athletic Club, with the Spanish international that still has a launch clause of 58 million of euros in Bilbao.

It is reported that Arsenal approaches an agreement to pay more than the clause in the summer, to ensure favorable terms, which allows them to structure the payments during the duration of Williams’ potential contract, instead of paying the total amount in advance .

Football London reports indicate that they are also “safe” about the activation of the clause of 51 million euros of Zubimendi in San Sebastian.

Liverpool’s failure in attracting Mersyside last summer is not a concern for Arteta and it is not his inability to fail with January offers.

The real will reflect its approach to Basque rivals by demanding the full exit rate, but Arsenal is in a position to pay both, with great online salaries to be eliminated from the club this summer in the middle of tracks that have already negotiated an agreement with the Zubimendi representatives.

Jorginho is close to a return to Brazil with Flamengo, it is unlikely that Thomas Party’s contract will be renewed beyond June, and Arteta is not interested in retaining Raheem Sterling of Chelsea.
