The conflict reportedly began when Iqbal allegedly directed personal comments at Hales; the 36-year-old man revealed details about the confrontation. He claimed that Iqbal made rude comments and asked him if he was embarrassed by his drug ban during England and if he still used drugs.
“He asked me if I was embarrassed that I was banned from taking drugs in England and he asked me if I still took drugs and he was very, very rude.” Hales said (via One Cricket).
Hales expressed his disappointment, stating that the problems on the field should remain on the field and criticized the personal nature of the confrontation, especially since it occurred after the game. “It’s a real shame because if something happens on the pitch it just ends up on the pitch, but to be personal and that too after the game, I think it’s pathetic to be honest.”he added.
