Barcelona president Joan Laporta has remained silent during the dramatic failure to register Dani Olmo and Pau Víctor before the January deadline, with the club saying they will speak out when the matter is resolved. However, the words of your opposition will become deeds.
According to Sport, the deputy and former presidential candidate Jordi Farré intends to present a motion of censure against Laporta. Farré was the Barcelona member who instigated the vote of no confidence against Josep Maria Bartomeu in 2020, and just over four years later, he will do it again, this time with Laporta at the end.
Poll: Is Laporta in or out?

Barcelona’s statutes establish that a motion of censure needs the signatures of 15% of Barcelona’s members, in this case 16,256 of the 109,637 members, in order to be brought to the table. Once the motion is presented, the vote will need at least two-thirds of the votes in favor of dismissing Laporta in order to succeed. If that were to happen, then elections would be called to elect a new president. Once a motion of censure has been presented, a period of one year must elapse before a new one can be presented.
It is rare in Barcelona’s history for a vote of no confidence to be taken against a president, but confidence in Laporta is at its lowest point. Last week, a collective of ten opposition groups and opinion groups signed a declaration demanding Laporta’s resignation; That letter also threatened a motion of censure. It seems that Farre will be the one to execute it.
