Bowling the first ball of his spell, Adair produced a long delivery around the stump that swung sharply, leaving Fakhar ZamanPakistan’s explosive batsman, completely defeated. The ball zipped past the bat, rattling the middle stump in a display of perfect seam and swing. Zaman, who made 7 runs off 6 balls, including a boundary, seemed surprised by the strong inward movement and could do little to counter it. There was a hint of advantage when the ball crashed into the stumps, but that did not affect the brilliance of the delivery.
This first wicket provided the Giants with a much-needed breakthrough, putting immediate pressure on the Vipers in pursuit. In the fifth match of ILT20 2025, the Vipers took control early after winning the toss and opting to play.
