While performing the iconic song A Sky Full of Stars, Martin surprised the crowd by joking that Bumrah wanted to join him backstage to play cricket.
“Wait, we have to finish the show because Jasprit Bumrah wants to come play backstage. He says he needs to bowl to me now.” Martin said in a video shared on X.
The audience erupted in cheers, excited to hear Bumrah’s name at such an iconic event. Although the Indian pacer did not feature, the recognition highlighted his huge fan following and cross-cultural appeal.
