Real Betis has a significant number of former Barcelona players among its ranks, opening up in recent years a fluid flow of footballers between Catalonia and Seville. They are looking to increase that quota in January.
According to Sport, Real Betis are interested in former Girona striker Pau Víctor. The 22-year-old is very loved by Betis scouting for his versatility, ability to bond with teammates and scoring instinct.
However, Barcelona are unlikely to let him go. They will only consider an exit if Victor asks to leave, and he only intends to leave if the club insists on an exit. Regardless, Betis want to do everything they can to convince him of a move before turning their attention elsewhere, and will sell him on the idea of a bigger role at Benito Villamarín.

Victor has scored two goals and provided one assist in his 187 minutes so far, which are few and far between, but before the season he was aware that game time would be difficult to come by. Another factor preventing the agreement is the fact that, although Barcelona is struggling to register Víctor for the second half of the season, Betis itself has little room in its salary cap. They could only face a transfer agreement, which would take away many financial incentives for Barcelona.
However, Betis could also be helped by possible departures in January. Replacement goalkeeper Fran Vieites will be able to look for new pastures, and striker Juanmi has failed to resolve his disagreements with coach Manuel Pellegrini. He will almost certainly leave in the winter transfer market, reports MD.
