Mitchell Marsh’s struggles in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy
Marsh endured a challenging series, scoring just 73 runs in seven innings at an average of 10.42. His highest score was 47 in the first Test at Perth, and his performance dropped significantly in subsequent matches. To compound his problems, Marsh bowled just 13 overs in the last three Tests without claiming a single wicket, prompting widespread criticism from fans and pundits.

Despite these struggles, Marsh’s talent and contributions to cricket remain undeniable, particularly in the Indian Premier League (IPL)where he has built a unique legacy. Marsh’s IPL career has spanned 42 matches, producing 665 runs, including three half-centuries, and 37 wickets. Although injuries hampered his consistency, his performances have shown flashes of brilliance, particularly during his time with Capitals of Delhi.
