Nair reacts to his Champions Trophy snub
In a recent chat, Nair opened up about his disappointment over the snub and revealed that his hunger to make a comeback at the national level remains his main motivation. The 33-year-old batsman acknowledged that the possibility of returning to the Indian team continues to fuel his desire to perform at the highest level.
“Obviously you have to keep in mind the possibility of an Indian comeback. If you want to play for the country, you have to keep dreaming. There are these thoughts and dreams in your head, but that’s just motivation.” Nair stated as quoted by Hindustan Times.
He further explained that his mindset is driven by the constant desire to improve and improve his performance.
“The mentality comes from the hunger to continue improving every day when I go out to play. Not being happy with what you have done in the past and still hoping to do better in the future,” Nair added.
Despite the disappointment of missing out on the Champions Trophy squad, Nair remains determined to keep working on his game, hoping that his opportunity to represent India comes soon.
