Barcelona prefers the fate of the 27-year-old Premier League winger

Last summer, Luis Diaz was linked to Barcelona on multiple occasions, but it quickly became apparent that he was out of Barcelona’s price range. However, rumors about the Colombian’s future have resurfaced due to his contractual situation.

Diaz will enter the final year of his contract next summer at Liverpool, and making any progress is apparently proving difficult. The Colombian wants a much higher salary and Liverpool have not yet offered it to him.

According to Antena 2, Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain are the two teams that would be most interested in Díaz, while MD adds AC Milan to the group. However, among the three, the Catalan giant would be his preferred destination: it would also fit Hansi Flick’s approach.

Barcelona are reportedly still looking for the left-wing position for next summer, following a failed attempt to sign Nico Williams. Diaz was rumored to be sporting director Deco’s preferred option, but as was the case with Williams, Barcelona need their finances to improve before they can think about making a move.
