Barcelona willing to part with 2 million euros for the 17-year-old Spanish winger in January

Barcelona has been on the hunt for Spanish talent Antonito, Antonio Cordero, since summer, and it seems that his future could be decided soon. The youngster from Malaga has shown no signs of slowing down since he made the jump to the Second Division and is attracting everyone’s attention.

Málaga have been trying to extend his contract, but it looks like Cordero will be looking for pastures new, as his current contract expires next summer. Real Madrid and Barcelona have been interested in him. RadioMarca (via Sport) says that in the summer Barcelona were willing to offer €1.8 million for a fixed fee that could have increased to €4 million with variables, although mostly difficult to achieve.

Now Cordero could move in January, explains the Catalan newspaper, since Málaga prefers to contribute some money rather than nothing. Given the situation, they are willing to accept a lower offer than the summer one, and Barcelona could make the move in January, with Cordero joining Barça Atletic.

The Whites appear likely to compete for Cordero’s signature, although they have not yet made a transfer offer for him. Cordero is also managed by Pini Zahavi, an agent with whom Barcelona president Joan Laporta has a strong relationship.
